About Emily
About me
Kia ora! I'm Emily, originally from Christchurch. I moved to Dunedin in 2023 for university knowing absolutely nobody, and I really wish I'd had someone to talk to about everything that comes with starting uni. I love helping others and have helped a few of my younger friends navigate study, work-life balance, and moving away from home for the first time. It's a new and exciting journey, and I hope I can help you navigate it!
My uni experience
Day to day I usually spend around five to six hours studying, though it does vary at different points in the semester. I was in Cumberland College in first year. It was a pretty social hall and the food was good all things considered. Expect to be thrown in the deep end when it comes to meeting new people and having new experiences! I love the social life that comes with university. It's an experience like nothing else. I'd recommend joining as many clubs as you can. They're the perfect way to meet new people and have a life outside of studying.
Hobbies
Reading, baking, crocheting, hanging out with friends, going on walks, and making cheeky trips to the Rob Roy dairy!
